Duane D. Pedigo, 97, of Great Bend, Kansas, passed away on July 20, 2026, at the Kansas Soldiers Home at Ft. Dodge.

Born on June 29, 1929, in Great Bend, Kansas, Duane was a dedicated truck driver who worked for many years at O'Neil Tank Company. He was known for his strong work ethic, deep faith, and love for his family.

Duane enjoyed attending church, playing guitar, and singing church songs and oldies with his band. He also enjoyed watching WWE wrestling and Westerns. Later in life, watching the Dallas Cowboys became a favorite pastime after his son introduced him to the team, and he looked forward to cheering them on.

He is survived by his significant other, Twilla Sherwood; his children, Sharon Hill (Vernon), Vicky Young (Mike), Debbie Becker (Wayne), Darrell Pedigo (Toni), Kenny Pedigo (Janita), and Tammy Stevenson (John); 26 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

Duane will be remembered for his faith, kindness, love of music, and devotion to his family. We find comfort in knowing he is at peace with his Lord and Savior.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, July 27, 2026 at the Great Bend Cemetery in Great Bend, Kansas. Military honors will be provided by KSARNG Military Honors and SWKS Veterans Funeral Honor Guard. There will be no public viewing as cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to the Kansas Soldiers Home Activity Fund in care of Swaim Funeral Chapel.
