Dodge City - Earl Eugene Goodwin Jr., 58, died January 18, 2022 at his home in Dodge City. He was born on July 30, 1963 at Terre Haute, Indiana the son of Earl Eugene, Sr. and Virginia (King) Goodwin.
Earl grew up in Terre Haute and attended schools there. He later moved to Dodge City in the early 1980's and has resided here since. In 1986 he married Debra Crumb in Dodge City and they were married for 23 years. He worked for J-A-G/Croell Construction for 30 years as a driver and dispatcher and also delivered newspapers for the Dodge City Daily Globe for 20 years. Earl enjoyed fishing, camping and spending time with his family.
He attended the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Dodge City.
Earl is survived by his companion, Tami Durler of Dodge City; six children, Jeremy Goodwin, Jessica Goodwin, Jennifer Goodwin, Jolene and LeAnn Goodwin, and Nicholas Mazerac-Durler; sisters, Kathy Rardin and Nancy Fox, both of Terre Haute, Indiana, and Vickie Runyon of Lima, Ohio; and brothers, Bill Goodwin and Earl Goodwin, III, both of Dodge City and Eddie Goodwin and Randy Goodwin, both of Terre Haute, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents; two children, Rebecca and Joshua; and a brother, David Goodwin.
Funeral service will be held at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at 9:30 AM with Fr. Rudin Din presiding. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dodge City. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Chapel on Friday, January 28, 2022 from Noon to 8:00 PM. Memorials are suggested to the Earl Goodwin Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
