Dodge City – Eddie V. Mahieu, 87, died July 2, 2021 at his home in Dodge City.  He was born on March 20, 1934 at Minneola, Kansas the son of Victor and Ruby (Woods) Mahieu.

He married Linda Bair on March 18, 1957 in Manhattan, Kansas, she preceded him in death on March 12, 2020. Mr. Mahieu enjoyed rebuilding anything from bicycles to cars in his spare time. He also enjoyed farming and raising cattle as well.

He is survived by his daughter Deborah Mahieu (Brad Callison) of Plainview, Texas; son, Mark Mahieu (Michelle) of Minneola: five grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Linda.

Funeral service will be held at Swaim Funeral Chapel on Wednesday July  7, 2021 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Jerre Nolte presiding.  Burial will follow at Appleton Township Cemetery in Minneola.  Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM.  Memorials are suggested to Alzheimer's Association or St. Jude Children's Hospital in care of the funeral home.
