Edith E. Merica's Obituary
Dodge City - Edith E. Merica, 84, died March 30, 2011 at Western Plains Medical Complex, Dodge City . She was born on October 13, 1926 at Ellsworth, KS the daughter of Bruce and Anne (Sheridan) Allen.
She lived in Winona, Kansas until moving to Spearville in 1972, where she worked at the Spearville Hospital. Mrs. Merica also owned a ceramic shop and was a avid bowler.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin, a daughter, Melody and daughter-in-law, Andrea.
She is survived by her son Dennis and Wife Sherri Merica of Spearville, seven grandchildren,ten great grandchildren and one grea great grandchild.
Graveside service will be held at Winona Cemetery in Winona, Kansas on Saturday, April 2, 2011 at 11:00 AM with Mr. David Merica presiding. Friends may sign the book at Swaim Funeral Home on Friday, April 1, 2011 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Memorials are suggested to the charity of the donors choice in care of the funeral home.
