Obituary

Edna Eva Clark Day, 94, died April 6, 2012 at Sterling House,Dodge City. She was born on December 30, 1917 in Ford County, KS the daughter of George Washington Imel and Lily Catherine (Chambers) Imel .

She worked for Dodge City Laundry and Coed Cleaners all of Dodge City. Edna married Bill Clark on August 18, 1934, he preceded her in death in 1964. She later married Ralph Day on October 12, 1984, he preceded her on September 12, 2005.

She was a member of the First Christian Church.

She is survived by her nieces Elsie Mae White of Garden City; Cindy Nitcher and husband Ron of Lawrence, KS. She is also survived by great nieces Tamie Hawes of Ford; Alesa Meschberger of Garden City; Great Nephew Dan Bailes of Garden City; and numerous great great nieces and nephews.

She is preceded by her brothers Lee Imel, Forrest Imel, Alfred Imel, Neil and Don Imel, and two sisters Velma Hall and Gertie Rumsey.

Graveside service will be held at Greencrest Cemetery on Monday, April 9, 2012 at 1:00 PM with Dr. Phil Scott presiding. There will be no public visitation. Memorials are suggested to First Christian Church or Hospice of the Prairie in care of the funeral home.
