Lake Havasu City, Arizona - Edna May Jenkins-Norton, 92, died December 31, 2017 at Lake Havasu City, Arizona.  She was born on May 3, 1925 at the daughter of Grant Newton and Jesse Elvina (Potts) Dunn.

She married Everett Harvey Norton on November 21, 1941 in Dodge City, he preceded her in death on Nov. 20, 1970. Edna and Everett made their home in Spearville after their marriage before moving to Dodge City in 1959. She worked as a seamstress for many years at Eckles Mall. Mrs. Norton also worked as a cook at Trinity Hospital and Kates for several years as well. She also ran a day care and foster care from 1960 to 1974. She moved to Lake Havasu City, Arizona in 1989.

She was a member of the Lake Havasu City, Arizona V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary, Lifetime member of the Dodge City V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary and the Dodge City Church of Nazarene.

She is survived by her daughter Glenda Norton of Lake Havasu City, Arizona; two sons Earl Norton of Aurora, Missouri and Norman "Whitey" Norton of Dodge City.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Everett Harvey Norton, daughter Anna Holmes and infant son Everett Leroy Norton.

Funeral service will be held at Swaim Funeral Chapel in Dodge City on Wednesday January 10, 2018 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Justin Hayes presiding.  Burial will follow at Silent Land Cemetery in Spearville. Memorials are suggested to The Alley in care of the funeral home.
