FOWLER, KS - Edna McManaman, 93, died Thursday, August 19, 2010 at Minneola District Hospital in Minneola. She was born on May 30, 1917 on the family farm where she was also raised near Dodge City. She was the daughter of George Hutchinson and Minerva (Bartlett) Lutz. Edna married Stephen Paul McManaman on April 21, 1942 in Pratt. He preceded her in death on October 22, 1994. She and her husband lived on a farm north of Fowler. In 1977 Edna and her husband opened the Someplace Else Restaurant in Fowler.

Survivors include a daughter Paula McManaman of Fowler; a brother Lloyd Lee Lutz of Santa Fe, New Mexico; one niece Roanna Elloit; and one nephew Chris Lutz.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Stephen Paul McManaman, Jr..

Graveside service will be held at Maple Grove Cemetery on Monday, August 23, 2010 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Dick Robbins presiding. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Home on Sunday, August 22, 2010 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Ford County Humane Society in care of the funeral home.
