Dodge City - Eladio Martinez, 78, passed away September 28, 2025 at his home in Dodge City. He was born on May 23, 1947 in Torreon De San Isidro, Durango, Mexico, the son of Luis Martinez and Juana Terrazas.


He worked at Cargill for 35 years. Eladio was deeply devoted to his faith and played an active, meaningful role in his church. He enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and traveling. He was very hardworking. He was a great storyteller and loved talking to people. He did not know a stranger and was very amicable with anyone. Above all he loved his family very much.


He was a member of Iglesia La Hermosa of Dodge City.


Eladio is survived by his wife, Gregoria Galvan de Martinez; children, Leticia Rincon (Richard), Alejandro Martinez, Rudy (Tisha) Martinez, Lizette Martinez (Oscar Flores); grandchildren, Aidan Rincon, Alexa Rincon, Alizabeth Rincon, Aralyn Rincon, Dante Johnson, Adrian Martinez, Isaac Martinez, Cordell Martinez, and Adriel Flores; siblings, Mauricia Martinez, Benjamin Martinez, Benita Martinez, Maria Fe Chairez, Luis Martinez, y Pedro Martinez. He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Mariana Romero, Rito Martinez, and Juventino Martinez.


Funeral service will be held at Swaim Funeral Chapel on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Aurelia Turubiates presiding. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dodge City. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Chapel on Friday, October 3, 2025 from noon to 8:00PM. Dodge City - Eladio Martínez, de 78 años, falleció el 28 de septiembre de 2025 en su hogar en Dodge City. Nació el 23 de mayo de 1947 en Torreón de San Isidro, Durango, México, hijo de Luis Martínez y Juana Terrazas.


Trabajó en Cargill durante 35 años. Eladio era un hombre profundamente dedicado a su fe y desempeñaba un papel activo y significativo en su iglesia. Disfrutaba haciendo crucigramas y viajando. Era muy trabajador. Era un gran narrador y le encantaba hablar con la gente. No conocía a un extranjero y era muy amigable con todos. Sobre todo, amaba mucho a su familia.


Era miembro de la Iglesia La Hermosa de Dodge City.


A Eladio le sobreviven su esposa, Gregoria Galván de Martínez; sus hijos, Leticia Rincón (Richard), Alejandro Martínez, Rudy (Tisha) Martínez, Lizette Martínez (Oscar Flores); Nietos: Aidan Rincón, Alexa Rincón, Alizabeth Rincón, Aralyn Rincón, Dante Johnson, Adrián Martínez, Isaac Martínez, Cordell Martínez y Adriel Flores; hermanos: Mauricia Martínez, Benjamín Martínez, Benita Martínez, María Fe Chairez, Luis Martínez y Pedro Martínez. Le precedieron en la muerte sus padres; y hermanos: Mariana Romero, Rito Martínez y Juventino Martínez.


El funeral se llevará a cabo en la Funeraria Swaim de Dodge City el sábado 4 de octubre de 2025 a las 10:00 a. m., presidido por la pastora Aurelia Turubiates. El entierro se realizará posteriormente en el Cementerio Maple Grove de Dodge City. El velatorio se realizará en la Funeraria Swaim el viernes 3 de octubre de 2025, de 12:00 p.m. a 8:00 p. m.
