CIMARRON - Elaine Elizabeth Rollins, 74, died June 24, 2011 at Western Plains Medical Complex, Dodge City. She was born on September 5, 1936 at Nashville, Kansas the daughter of Lawrence W. and Nelma Clara (Poppe) Lampe.

Elaine attended schools in Nashville, Kansas and was a graduate of Nashville High School. She moved to Cimarron in 1954 and went to work for the Cimarron Insurance Agency. Elaine later worked at the Cimarron Elementery school for 12 years. She also operated her own cleaning service in Cimarron for many years.

Elaine is survived by her husband, William E. "Bill" Rollins of Cimarron; two sons, Doug Davidson and wife Ima of Dodge City and Dr. Alan Davidson and wife Kimberly of Hutchinson; a daughter, Connie Manzanares and husband Joe of Pampa, Texas; a brother, Dennis Lampe and wife Margaret of Kansas City; two sisters, Twyla Harbison and husband Bill of Wichita and Marlene Vierthaler and husband Bud of Haysville; 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Don Lampe.

Funeral service will be held at the Valleyview Bible Church, Cimarron on Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Darren Rempel presiding. Burial will be at the Kansas Veterans' Cemetery in Ft. Dodge at 2:00 PM . Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Chapel, Cimarron on Tuesday, June 28, 2011 from Noon to 8:00 PM. Memorials are suggested to Valleyview Bible Church in care of the funeral home.
