Obituary
Eleanor Allala, 69, died Monday, April 13, 2009 at Wesley Medical Center at Wichita, KS. She was born on July 11, 1939 at Ingalls, KS the daughter of Jose and Maria (Cabrerra) Ascencio.
She was a early childhood teacher for USD #443. Eleanor loved to read, cook, travel, watching soaps and spend time with her family. She was a member of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
Survivors include two daughters Vicki and husband Chris Ojeda of Overland Park,Kansas and Maria Allala of Dodge City, Kansas. A son Jon Allala of Dodge City, Kansas. She is also survived by four sisters Ruth Martinez,Theresa Herrera,Georgina Martinez all of Dodge City, Kansas,Gloria Graff of Silver City, New Mexico. She is also survived by four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
Vigil service will be held at Cathedral Of Our Lady Of Guadalupe on Thursday, April 16, 2009 at 7:00 P.M. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Home on Thursday, April 16, 2009 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be held at the Cathedral Of Our Lady Of Guadalupe on Friday April 17, 2009 at 10:00 AM. Memorials can be made to Eleanor Allala Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
