Obituary
Hutchinson- Eleanor Mae Cunningham, 88, died September 12, 2010 at Hospice House, Hutchinson. She was born February 23, 1922 in Offerle to Emil and Augusta Gring.
She married Andrew "Andy" William Riedl in 1941. He died July 10, 1960. On July 30, 1961 she married Calvin Gerald "Bud" Cunningham in Dodge City. He died March 30, 1996.
Eleanor was the business manager and co-owner of Christian Service Company, Salina from 1970 - 1989. She was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Hutchinson.
Survivors include three sons, Jim Riedl and wife Arlyce of Portland, OR, Reverend Joseph Cunningham and wife Sara of Valpraiso, IN, Calvin Cunningham of Denver, CO; two daughters, Jodi Hertach and husband Maurice of Hutchinson and Jan Atakpa and husband Michael of Wichita. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Alfreda Thompson; two brothers, Alvin and CarlGring; and great grandchild, Kylie Crawford.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm Thursday, September 16, 2010 at Swaim Funeral Home, Dodge City. A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 am Friday, September 17, 2010 at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dodge City with Pastor Randall Jahnke officiating. Memorials are suggested to the Luther Hour or to the Building Fund at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Hutchinson.
