Obituary
Dodge City - Eleanor Jean Zimmer, 77, died January 12, 2015 at Leisure Homestead in Stafford. She was born on May 29, 1937 in Dodge City the daughter of Paul W. and Larene Pearl (Wilson) Zimmer.
Jean grew up on the family farm N.W. of Dodge City and lived most of her life there. She graduated from Dodge City High School. Jean was a rancher and raised wheat. She enjoyed collecting marbles and all her pets.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Dodge City and the Ford County Farm Bureau.
There are no immediate survivors. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Graveside service will be held at Maple Grove Cemetery, Dodge City, on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Dick Robbins presiding. There will be no visitation and the casket will remain closed. Memorials are suggested to Ford County Humane Society or Ford County 4-H both in care of the funeral home.
