Spearville - Eleanora Linnebur, 97, died July 28, 2017 at her home in Spearville. She was born on January 10, 1920 at Spearville the daughter of Engelbert "Bert" and Stephannie M. "Fannie" (Habiger) Durler.

She attended school in Spearville. Mrs. Linnebur worked at a bakery shop and soda fountain in Spearville and as a waitress in the Lynch Drug Store in Larned, Kansas. She married Florian Anthony Linnebur on July 26, 1948 in Spearville, he preceded her in death on August 5, 2002.

She was a member of the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church of Spearville.

She is survived by six sons, Henry Linnebur and wife Jeannie of Dodge City; Leroy Linnebur and wife Carlene of Satanta; Norbert Linnebur and wife Gayle of Spearville; David Linnebur of Falls Church, VA; Martin Linnebur and friend Monica Kim of Kailua-Kona, Hawaii; Ben Linnebur and wife Stephanie of Wichita; six daughters, Rose Ann Huckabay of Austin, TX; Irene Clay and husband Blaise of Waikoloa, Hawaii; Margery Kent and husband John of Wichita; Connie Blevins and husband John of Wichita; Bonnie Dvorak and husband Ric of Spearville; Christina Bibens and husband Jeff of Dodge City; brother, Edward Durler and friend Sonja Barnes of Dodge City; sisters, Esther Burkhart of Hutchinson; Ruth Hattrup of Kinsley; Rosemary Lamb and husband Duane of Ceder Rapids, IA; 35 grandchildren and 43 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Joe Durler and John Durler, two sisters, Sister Evarista and Irene Boyd.

Funeral Mass will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church on Tuesday August  1, 2017 at 10:30 AM with Rev. John Forkuoh presiding. Burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery in Spearville.  Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Home on Monday July 31, 2017 from12:00 to 4:00 PM.  A vigil service will be held at 7:00 PM, Monday, July 31, 2017 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Spearville. Memorials are suggested to St. John Parish Memorial Fund or Hospice of the Prairie in care of the funeral home.
