Obituary

Dodge City - Eliana Anahi Peralta Rios, 15, passed away on July 19, 2024 in Dodge City. She was born on September 3, 2008 in Dodge City, Kansas, the daughter of Susan Torres.

She was born and raised in Dodge City and would have been a sophomore at Dodge City High School. Eliana loved doing nails and was training herself to do them. She wanted to be a cosmetologist. She loved spending time with her brother, sisters, and friends.

She was a member of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe of Dodge City and belonged to Danza Santa Cruz.

Eliana is survived by her parents, Susan and Jaime Torres of Dodge City; brother, Jaime Torres, Jr; sisters, Ximena, Yoselin, and Kaylani Torres; grandparents, Raul and the late Elizabeth Alarcon and Maria Isabel Torrez and the late Rigoberto Torres; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral service will be held at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe on Friday, July 26, 2024 at 10:00 AM with Father Wesley Schawe presiding.  Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dodge City.  Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Home on Thursday, July 25, 2024 from noon to 5PM with a vigil at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe at 7PM.  Memorials are suggested to the Eliana Rios Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.  Thoughts and memories may be shared in the online guest book at www.swaimfuneralhome.com .

Dodge City - Eliana Anahi Peralta Ríos, de 15 años, falleció el 19 de julio de 2024 en Dodge City. Nació el 3 de septiembre de 2008 en Dodge City, Kansas, hija de Susan Torres.

Nació y creció en Dodge City y habría sido estudiante de segundo año en Dodge City High School. A Eliana le encantaba hacer uñas y se estaba entrenando para hacerlo. Ella quería ser cosmetóloga. Le encantaba pasar tiempo con su hermano, hermanas y amigos.

Fue miembro de la Catedral de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe de Dodge City y perteneció a Danza Santa Cruz.

A Eliana le sobreviven sus padres, Susan and Jaime Torres de Dodge City; hermano, Jaime Torres, Jr; hermanas, Ximena, Yoselin y Kaylani Torres; abuelos, Raúl y su abuela difunta Elizabeth Alarcón y María Isabel Torrez y su abuelo difunto Rigoberto Torres; así como muchas tías, tíos y primos.

El funeral se llevará a cabo en la Catedral de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe el viernes 26 de julio de 2024 a las 10:00 a. m., presidido por el Padre Wesley Schawe.  Seguirá el entierro en el cementerio Maple Grove en Dodge City.  El velorio será en Swaim Funeral Home el jueves 25 de julio de 2024 desde el mediodía hasta las 5 p. m. con una vigilia en la Catedral de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe a las 7 p. m.  Se sugieren donaciones al Fondo Conmemorativo de Eliana Ríos a cargo de la funeraria.  Se pueden compartir pensamientos y recuerdos en el libro de visitas en línea en www.swaimfuneralhome.com.
