CIMARRON - Ericka Chantel Droste, 22, died November 6, 2014 at her home in Cimarron. She was born on March 20, 1992 at Minneola, the daughter of Jose Mendoza and Tonya Droste.

Ericka grew up in Cimarron and graduated from Cimarron High School. She then attended Seward County Community College where she received her Certified Welding degree. Ericka worked at Crustbuster in Dodge City and then for Great Plains Manufacturing in Salina. She was currently an assistant supervisor at ABM Security in Dodge City. Ericka enjoyed hunting, riding four wheelers, and the Denver Broncos. She loved her dogs and enjoyed artistic welding. Ericka also enjoyed racing cars with her grandpa.

Ericka is survived by her mother, Tonya Droste of Cimarron; her grandmother, Judy Droste of Cimarron; and her aunt, Missy Droste of Cimarron. She was preceded in death by a sister, Shay Droste; and grandfather, Carl Droste.

Funeral service will be held at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church on Monday, November 10, 2014 at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow at Cimarron Cemetery in Cimarron. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Chapel, Cimarron on Sunday, November 9, 2014 from Noon to 6:00 PM. Memorials are suggested to the Wounded Warrior Project in care of the funeral home.
