Erik Lawrence De Leon was born on January 8, 1981 to Avalino De Leon and Esmeraldo Alvarado. On January 13, 2023, Erik unexpectedly passed away leaving behind his loving family.

He was a loving father who was very committed to his family and growing as an individual and always put effort, thought, care and consideration into himself and his children. Erik was a father who went above and beyond and never gave up hope or faith in himself or his children. He is a man who will be deeply missed by his family and friends and will forever be remembered as a loving and considerate father that valued his family.

Erik is survived by his daughters, Brooklyn De Leon age 18, and Jaley Carson age 17; his father and stepmother, Avalino and JoAnn De Leon; siblings, Emelia De Leon, Adela De Leon, Augerlio De Leon, Priscila Beltran, Amy Cano, Yvette Villanueva, Monica Gomez, and Omene Montano; nieces and nephews, Angelica De Leon, Luz-Esmeralda De Leon, Augrelio Jr De Leon, Zeno De Leon, Emilio De Leon, and Nicolas De Leon. Erik's daughters weren't close in proximity but they managed to keep a close and healthy relationship. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Avalino and Juanita De Leon and his mother, Esmeralda Alvarado.

Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Chapel, Dodge City on Monday, January 23, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Cremation will follow and a private family service will be held at a later date.
