Minneola - Erma L. Winsor, 82, died May 22, 2013 at Minneola District Hospital, Minneola. She was born on October 4, 1930 at Dodge City, the daughter of Charles Wallace and Della Josephine (Hackler) Mullendore.
She married Arlo D. Winsor on July 21, 1947 in Dodge City. He preceded her in death on June 18, 2006. They cherished 58 years and 11 Months of married life.
Erma was employed as a cook at Minneola District Hospital and Nursing Home before her retirement. They made their home in Dodge City and Minneola until Arlo's retirement in 1984. On October 20, 1984 they moved to Zapata, Texas where they lived for eight years. They moved back to Minneola in 1992. They enjoyed fishing and camping.
She was a member of the Farmerettes of Minneola.
Erma is survived by three sons, Jerry Winsor of Minneola, Ron and wife Trudy Winsor of Tyro, and David and wife Janice Winsor, Kingman; 9 grandchildren 14 great grandchildren and four step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Arlo Winsor; two brothers, Harold Leroy and Charles Donald Mullendore, four sisters, Betty June Mullendore, Eva Mae Ingraham, Ethel Marie Platt, and Flora Jean Mullendore, and two infant boys.
Funeral service will be held at Swaim Funeral Home, Dodge City on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. Jack Hanks presiding. Burial will follow at Greencrest Cemetery in Dodge City. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 from Noon to 8:00 P.M. Memorials are suggested to Minneola District Hospital in care of the funeral home.
