Faye Aileen Barns of Dodge City, Kansas, passed away November 28, 2014, at the age of 91. She is remembered by those who knew her as a lovely, intelligent lady with a perky flip and Mamie Eisenhower bangs. She enjoyed working, golfing, shopping, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.
Faye and Harrison met in Fort Dodge, KS and were married in 1944. They left immediately after the wedding and resided in various locations while Harrison served in the Army until the war ended. They returned to Dodge City where Faye worked as a stenographer for the Santa Fe Railroad and in the office of Mayrath Machinery Company. Faye earned her realtor's license in the late 70's and worked for Krebs Realty until she retired. Until a few daysbefore her death, she lived in the house that she and Harrison built in 1950 with many helping hands.
Faye's family is eternally grateful to Faye's caregivers and church family for their loving care of both Faye and Harrison, and for the friends who stopped by to visit or sent a note to let Faye know she was in their thoughts.
