MINNEOLA - Forrest Dale "Tim" Davenport, 74, died February 11, 2012 at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita. He was born on October 2, 1937 at Dodge City the son of James Frank and Iona Wesley (Netherton) Davenport.

Tim grew up in Dodge City and graduated from Dodge City High School. After graduating he served in the US Navy. Tim was a self employed auto mechanic and was delievering the Hutchinson news paper in Minneola. He loved to fish, hunt, and hang out with his friends.

He was a life member of the Howard Gotschall Post #1714, V.F.W.

Tim is survived by two brothers, Bob Davenport and wife Sara of Quartzsite, Arizona and Frank Davenport and wife Barbara of Bucklin; and five children, Tim, Kim, Chad, David and Tracy; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; companion, Billie Swim; one brother & three sisters.

Memorial graveside service will be held at the Kansas Veterans' Cemetery, Ft. Dodge on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Vernon Bogart presiding. Military rites will be conducted by Howard Gotschall Post #1714, V.F.W.. There will be no public visitation as cremation has taken place.
