SUBLETTE - Frances Jean Hoffman, 91, died July 31, 2019 at the Satanta Long Term Care, Satanta.  She was born on August 10, 1927  at Fritch, Texas  the daughter of Alpha D. and Vera Lucille (McClennagan) French.

A longtime resident of Sublette,  Frances was a 1946 graduate of Sublette High School. On June 30, 1946 she married Richard Lee Hoffman in Sublette. He preceded her in death on March 7, 2013. Frances Jean was a homemaker and later worked at the McCalmont IGA grocery in Sublette. She was a cancer survivor and collected dolls as therapy during her battle and recovery.  Frances enjoyed her family and especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed putting puzzles together while a resident at the Satanta Long Term Care.

She was a member of the Sublette Christian Church and also the Banner Club.

Frances Jean is survived by her three daughters, Nancy Weeks and Sue Stoppel and husband Tom both of Sublette and Cynthia Collier of Indio, California; three grandsons, Steve Weeks and Rory Schrieber of Sublette, Clint Stoppel and wife Lisa of Hesston, and Chris Stoppel and wife Haley of Sublette; six great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, Richard L. Hoffman, Jr; three brothers, Jack, Russell, and Jerry French; and two sisters, JoAnn McConnell and Peggy O'Neal.

Funeral service will be held at Sublette Christian Church on Monday August  5, 2019 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Brandon Mildren presiding.  Burial will follow at Haskell County Cemetery in Sublette.  Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Chapel of Sublette on Sunday August  4, 2019 from Noon to 6:00PM.  Memorials are suggested to Sublette Christian Church or Satanta Long Term Care both  in care of the funeral home.  Thoughts and memories may be shared in the online guest book at www.swaimfuneralhome.com.
