Dodge City - Fredrick Martin "Fritz" Trent, 72, died April 19, 2016 at Trinity Manor, Dodge City. He was born on October 2, 1943 at Dodge City, the son of Robert G. and Betty J. (Cecil) Trent. Fritz graduated from Dodge City High School in 1961 where he was active in track and football.

Fritz married his high school sweetheart Donna Dellinger in 1964. He started a drywall business with his brothers Bobby and Jack and later worked as a maintenance man for the Housing Authority in Dodge City. Fritz loved raising thoroughbred racehorses, fishing and hunting in his spare time.

Fritz is survived by three sons, Marty Trent and wife Misty, Tim Trent and Kerry Trent and wife Terri all of Dodge City; five grandchildren, Zachary, Aidan, Alex, Aaron and Ashton and two brothers, Bobby and Jack Trent. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Donna and a sister Kandy Trent.

A memorial service will be held at Swaim Funeral Home on Sunday, April 24, 2016 at 3:00 P.M. with Pastor David Graves presiding. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place.
