GABRIELE MAUPIN

Dodge City - Gabriele Maupin, 64, died October 12, 2012 at Trinity Manor Nursing Home, Dodge City. She was born on August 20, 1948 at Rieschweiler, Germany, the daughter of Willi and Hermine (Theisohn) . Bohl.

She worked at Travenol of Hays, Lora Locke Hotel, Dodge City Community College, and Dodge House Convention Center all of Dodge City. On December 30, 1969 she married Michael Maupin in Landstuhl, Germany and she came to the United States in 1970. Gabriele enjoyed being with her grandson, crocheting, gardening and cooking for her family.

She was a member of the Church of Christ of Dodge City.

Gabriele is survived by her husband Michael Maupin, Dodge City; a son Michael Maupin, Dodge City; a daughter Christina Rumbaugh and husband Aaron, Dodge City; a grandson, Michael Rumbaugh and three brothers, Willi, Knut and Holger Bohl. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Claudia Gabriel.

Funeral service will be held at Church of Christ in Dodge City on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. with Gary L. Bennett presiding. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dodge City. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 from from Noon to 8:00 P.M.. Memorials are suggested to the charity of the donor's choice in care of the funeral home.
