Dodge City - Gailand D. Bartlett, 90, died April 26, 2017 at Manor of The Plains in Dodge City. He was born on July 24, 1926 at Dodge City, Kansas the son of Gus and "Teenie" Bartlett.

He married Bettye Jo Dick on March 27, 1948, she preceded him in death on December 8, 2011. Mr. Bartlett was a farmer and former partner in the Double B&S Feedlot. He was a avid K-State Football fan and loved to play pool.

He was a member of the First Christian Church of Dodge City; Masonic Lodge of Minneola and past member of the Shriner's.

Gailand is survived by two sons, Kent Bartlett and wife Ruth of Fowler and Dr. Randy Bartlett and wife Linda; two daughters, Lisa Plante and husband Larry of Russell and Tammi Dinges and husband Randy of Littleton, Colorado; and one sister, Echo Owen and husband Don of Longmont, Colorado. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents and one son Kerry Neil Bartlett.

Funeral service will be held at Swaim Funeral Home on Saturday April 29, 2017 at 10:00 AM with Mr. Richard Crockett presiding. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Home on Friday, April 28, 2017 from 12:00 to 8:00 PM. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of The Prairie in care of the funeral home.
