Cimarron - Gary Call, 84, died October 3, 2023 at The Shepherds Center in Cimarron. He was born on August 28, 1939 at Halstead, Kansas the son of George Dale and Mabel (Jones) Call.

He graduated from Halstead High School and later graduated from Southwestern College. He enjoyed having coffee with a men's group at the café every morning.

Mr. Call worked as a paraprofessional for the Cimarron Grade School and also enjoyed volunteering for the BlueJay Buddy Program. He also worked as a computer programmer for the Cimarron Insurance Company for many years. He loved spending time with his family and playing cards in his spare time.

He was a member of the Halstead Methodist Church in Halstead, Kansas and the Cimarron Lions Club of Cimarron, Kansas.

He is survived by his daughter Deborah Baldwin and husband Bruce of Cimarron; sister Barbara Hardin of Marion, Kansas; two grandchildren Corbin Baldwin; Morgan Mendoza and husband Anthony; great grandchildren Olivia, Emmett and Zoe Mendoza.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside service will be held at Valley View Cemetery on Friday October 6, 2023 at 10:00 AM with Dusty Cookson presiding. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Chapel in Cimarron on Thursday, October 5, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM with the family receiving friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Memorials are suggested to Alzheimer's Association or St. Jude's Children's Hospital  in care of the funeral home.
