DODGE CITY:
Gayle Lee Weller, 71, died Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at Villa Maria Nursing Home at Mulvane, Kansas. She was born on February 28, 1938 at Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Myron O. and Beatrice Inez (Reekie) Riegel. Gayle spent her early years in Dodge City and later graduated from Las Animas, Colorado High School in 1956. She spent most of her adult life in the Dodge City, Wichita, Kansas City areas and the past three years in Mulvane. Gayle was active with the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts while raising her four sons in Wichita. Mrs. Weller was a medical office secretary.
Survivors include two sons, Mike Wall and wife Cindy of Mulvane, and Glenn Wall and wife Amy of Colorado Springs, Colorado; and a brother Michael Riegel and wife Sue of Preston, Connecticut; 10 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sons, Christopher Wall and Rick Simmons.
Graveside service will be held at Greencrest Memorial Gardens of Dodge City on Monday, May 18, 2009 at 2:00 PM with Dr. Gary Winget presiding. There wil be no visitation as cremation has taken place.
