DODGE CITY - Geraldine Diehl, 75, died April 24, 2016 at Western Plains Medical Complex, Dodge City. She was born on January 18, 1941 at California, the daughter of Fred and Pauline Elizabeth (Broadhearst) Mahoney.

She grew up in California and received her LPN degree from Dodge City Community College. Geraldine worked in nursing home care for many years. On March 18, 1957 she married Joseph C. Walton. She later married Joseph Hamilton Hodges and on September 13, 1973 married Kenneth Diehl. Geraldine enjoyed sewing, quilting, and making friends. She attended the Dodge City Mennonite Church.

Geraldine is survived by a daughter, Lucinda Sue Walton of Dodge City; son, Danial Kenneth Walton and wife Allie of Park Ville, Missouri; daughter, Debra Jo Hinnergardt and husband Freddy of Montezuma; daugher, Laura Elizabeth Wylie and husband Mike of Dodge City; son, Keith Edgar Diehl and wife Kimberly of Dodge City; two step-sons, Greg Diehl of Larned and Gary Diehl of Leavenworth; numerous grand children and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; two grandchildren, Sarah Ann Warkentin and Steven Alan Wylie.

Memorial service will be held at the Dodge City Mennonite Church on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at 10:30 AM with Minister Richard Koehn presiding. There will be no public visitation as cremation has taken place. Memorials are suggested to Geraldine Diehl Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
