Sublette - Gilberto Moreno, 71, died October 24, 2019 at the Satanta District Hospital.  He was born on September 13, 1948 in Mexico,  the son of Gilberto Lozano and Antonia Moreno.

Gilberto spent his childhood in Mexico.  In 1965, he married Juana Lopez in Chihuahua, Mexico.  She survives. Gilberto and Juana moved to Texas in 1987.  He went to work for a county road department, operating a road maintainer.  In 2000, the couple moved to Sublette.  Gilberto enjoyed playing the guitar and singing for church.  He also loved spending time with his kids.

He is survived by his wife, Juana Moreno of Sublette; 10 children, Salvador and Josefa Apodaca of Sublette, Ramon and Saturnina Apodaca of Van Horn, Texas, Manuel and Elvira Apodaca of Van Horn, Texas, Leticia and Andres Garza of Sublette, Raul and Angelica Lozano of Sublette, Sandra and Ignacio Ornelas of Sublette, Cecilia and Cruz Gonzales of Sublette, Rafael and Patricia Lozano of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Adrian and Arackli Lozano of Chihuahua, Mexico, and Norma and Cesar Estrada of Sublette; two brothers; two sisters; 26 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.

Funeral service will be held at Iglesia Bautista Hispana Church in Sublette on Monday, October 28, 2019 at 11:00 AM.  Burial will follow at Haskell County Cemetery in Sublette.  Visitation will be on Sunday, October 27, 2019 from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM at the church.
