Dodge City - Gladys Geneva (Grant) Reece, 93, died November 23, 2016 in Dodge City. She was born April 23, 1923 in Texas County, Oklahoma, the daughter of Robert and Edith (Deaton) Grant.

Gladys married Eugene Dale Reece, Sr. and to this union they had four children, Eugene Jr., Darrell, Joyce, and Janice. Her hobbies included quilting, sewing, cross-stitching, traveling and playing piano. Gladys was a member of the Dodge City Church of Christ where she was a bible school teacher, as well as a member of the Good Sam's Club.

She is survived by two sons Eugene Dale Reece Jr. and wife Karen; Darrell Dean Reece and wife Connie; daughter Joyce Mae Scott and husband Jim; two sisters Bobby Lundberg and Nina Lauterdale; as well as 8 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and 13 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Eugene, daughter Janice Kay Rowland, 5 brothers, and 2 sisters.

Funeral service will be held at Dodge City Church of Christ on Monday November 28, 2016 at 1:00 PM. Burial will be held at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dodge City. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Home on Sunday, November 27, 2016 from 12:00 to 6:00 PM. Memorials are suggested Maude Carpenter in Wichita in care of the funeral home.
