Dodge City - Grace May Hartman, 99, died October 22, 2011 at Presbyterian Manor of the Plains, Dodge City. She was born on February 11, 1912 in Rural Ford County the daughter of Walter Sidney and Mary Adel (Pelton) Day. She moved south of Dodge City when she was four years old.

She attended school at West Hopewell School in Ford County. She married Harold C. Hartman on December 19, 1933. He preceded her in death on August 20, 2007. They lived on a farm south of Dodge City until moving to Dodge City in 1998.

She was a member of the First Christian Church of Dodge City.

She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Kay Andrews on July 2, 1994.

Graveside service will be held at Maple Grove Cemetery, Dodge City on Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. with Mr. Phil Scott presiding. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Home, Dodge City on Tuesday, October 25, 2011 from Noon to 8:00 P.M. Memorials are suggested to First Christian Church of Dodge City in care of the funeral home.
