Harry Dwain Bunnell, 75, died Sunday, September 5, 2010 at Western Plains Medical Complex in Dodge City. He was born on August 27, 1935 at Dodge City the son of Harry J. and Evalyn (Schmidt) Bunnell.
Mr. Bunnell attended elementary schools in Copeland and graduated from Ensign High School. He married Delores Salem on June 5, 1954 in Dodge City. Mr. Bunnell owned Bunnell Oil Company for twenty five years and then became active in farming.
He was a member of the Copeland Christian Church.
Mr. Bunnell is survived by his wife, Delores Bunnell of Copeland; two sons, Harry D. Bunnell, Jr. and wife Cindy of Sublette and Rocky Bunnell and wife Karen of Copeland; one daughter, Terry Hargett and husband Terry of Copeland; one brother, John Bunnell and wife DiAnn of Garden City; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Nancy; and one brother, Jerry.
Funeral service will be held at Swaim Funeral Home in Dodge City on Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at 10:00 AM with Mr. Bruce Titus presiding. Burial will follow at Copeland Cemetery in Copeland. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 7, 2010 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Memorials can be made to Gray County E.M.S.
