Copeland - Harvena Davison, 76, died June 28, 2019 at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City. She was born on April 21, 1943 in Garden City, the daughter of Benny and Catherine (Norton) Myers.
Harvena spent her childhood in Shallow Water where she attended elementary and junior high school. She graduated from Scott City High School. After graduation, she went on to attend cosmetology school at Dodge City Community College. On June 17, 1967, she married Dan Davison in Scott City. After their marriage, they made their home in Copeland. Harvena worked at the grocery store and Dunham Video and Gifts but her primary job was taking care her of her family. She enjoyed playing fast pitch softball and card games with her family. Harvena also loved to fish.
Harvena is survived by her husband Dan of Copeland; two children, Randy Davison of Copeland and Sharleen Unruh and husband Jeff of Copeland; three granddaughters, Katelyn Gannon and husband Drew of Hays, Makayla Walker and husband Brady of Copeland, and Kristen Davison of Park City; and a sister-in-law, Joy Torrez and husband Roger of Great Bend. She is preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral service will be held at Copeland United Methodist Church on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Doug Harris presiding. Burial will follow at Copeland Cemetery. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Chapel, Montezuma on Monday, July 1, 2019 from 12:00-8:00 PM. Memorials are suggested to the Copeland Senior Center in care of the funeral home.
