HENRIETTA MARJORIE ROSE BETZ

Ness City - Henrietta Marjorie Rose Betz, 89, died November 9, 2011 at Cedar Village Long Term Care in Ness City. She was born on October 5, 1922 in Francis, daughter of Henry and Albertine (Schoendaller) Dechant.

Henrietta married Dewain M. Betz on February 2, 1944. He preceded her in death. She was a willing servant for the Lord, always ready to help. Henrietta was a wonderful cook and she could grow anything, especially the flowers she loved. She was a loving grandmother who helped with grandchildren whenever and wherever she was needed. Her great grandchildren were her delight. When she could no longer physically help, she would pray for their every need.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Women's V.F.W. Auxiliary, and a Senior Companion.

Henrietta is survived by two sons, Tom Betz and wife Penny of Bazine and Denny Betz and wife Janet of Celina, Texas; one daughter, Michelle Boos and husband Rodney of Rogers, Arkansas; one brother, Marvin Dechant and wife Clara; three sisters, Helen Hertel, Cora Lee Frey and husband Charlie, and Shirley Enneking and husband Ron; eight grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dewain; two sons, Larry and Roy; two brothers, Lee and Bob; two sisters, Alice Callahan and Irma Schuler; and one great grandson.

A private family service will be held at a later date. There is no public visitation as cremation has taken place.
