Dodge City - Humberto Castillo, 72, died March 10, 2014 at Minneola District Hospital, Minneola, Kansas. He was born on March 25, 1941 at Balleza, Mexico. The son of Jeronimo and Ines (Olivas) Castillo .

He married Ramona Mendoza on January 29, 1962 in Mexico, she survives. He was a farmer for many years and enjoyed spending time with his family in his spare time.

He was a member of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe of Dodge City.

He is survived by his wife Ramona of the home; four sons Jose Castillo, Manuel Castillo, Samuel Castillo all of Dodge City and Alfredo Castillo of Mexico; five daughters Norma Castillo, Irma Castillo, Mariabel Castillo all of Dodge City; Maria Castillo of Mexico and Adrianna Castillo of Denver, Colorado. He is also survived by a brother Nestor Castillo of Mexico and 28 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren.

Funeral Mass will be held at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Wesley Schawe presiding. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dodge City. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Home on Friday, March 14, 2014 from 12:00 to 7:00 PM. A Vigil service will be held on Friday, March 15, 2014 at 7:00 PM at Swaim Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe in care of the funeral home.
