Dodge City - Idella Yvonne Schriner, 88, died April 18, 2025 at Southwind at Spearville.  She was born on April 27, 1936 near Atwood, Kansas on the family farm, the daughter of Clifford and Addie (Winslow) Porter.

Idella attended a country school near her home.  She married Cletus Gamblin on January 1, 1955. Together they had four children, Daniel, Gina, LeeAnn, and Brian.  They later divorced. In 1966, she moved to Dodge City where she went to work at JC Penney's.  On February 23, 1985, Idella married Raymond Schriner.  They continued living in Dodge City.  Idella enjoyed fishing, camping, playing cards, and cooking for her family.

She is survived by children, Daniel Gamblin and wife Rose of Medicine Lodge, Gina Knoeber and husband Rod of Dodge City, and Stan Schriner and wife Jeanie of Jetmore; son-in-law, Chuck Hink of Topeka; daughter-in-law, Melora Schriner of Dodge City; 10 grandchildren; and14 great grandchildren.  Idella is preceded in death by her husband Raymond; children, Brian Gamblin, LeeAnn Hink, Curt Schriner, and Tim Schriner; four sisters; and one brother.

Memorial service will be held at Swaim Funeral Chapel, Dodge City on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at 3:00 PM with Pastor Jeff Hiers presiding. There is no visitation as cremation has taken place.  A private family burial will be at a later date.
