DODGE CITY - Ignacio Morales, 83, died Thursday, March 18, 2010 at Western Plains Medical Complex at Dodge City. He was born on January 20, 1927 at Zacatecas, Mexico, the son of Florentino and Eduarda (Morales) Perez. On November 25, 1929 he married Maria de Jesus "Lila" Raucho Tavison at Ciudad Juarez, Mexico. She preceded her in death on November 14, 1984. Mr. Morales came to Dodge City in 1983 and worked for National Beef of Dodge City for several years.

He was a member of Iglesia Apostalica of Dodge City.

Survivors include a son Martin Perez of Dodge City; three daughters, Maria Luisa Castillo and Luz Elena Crisostomo both of Dodge City, and Petra Perez of Emporia; a sister Francisca Alcala of Juarez, Mexico; 9 grandchildren and 1 Great granddaughter.

Funeral service will be held at Iglesia Bautista Emmanuel of Dodge City on Monday, March 22, 2010 at 12:00 PM with Rev. Oscar Olivares presiding. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dodge City. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Home on Sunday, March 21, 2010 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
