Isaak Guenther, entered Heaven on September 23, 2026, at the tender age of 22. He was born on October 25, 2003, in Cuautemoc, Chihuahua, Mexico, the son of Isaack and Katharina (Harms) Guenther.Isaak was a ray of sunshine to everyone who knew him. In 2005, his family moved to the United States, settling in Nebraska and later calling Sublette their home. Isaak attended elementary school in Sublette and often participated in Bible school at Salem & Grant Mennonite Church, where he developed a strong sense of community and faith.Isaak was a vibrant soul, known in his younger years by family and friends for his unrelenting spirit and contagious smile, which earned him the nickname "Smiley." Around 2007, Isaak was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Distrophy. This was a very difficult thing for family to grasp but Isaak was unfazed. His mobility slowly decreased until around 2013, where he was permanently placed on wheelchair. Despite facing the challenges of this disease, Isaak approached life with unrelenting joy and a passion for creativity. He found happiness in his hobbies, including remote control cars and customizing Hot Wheels, which showcased his inventive nature and love for hands-on activities. He loved cars and spent time studying how high powered engines worked, and often was heard saying things like "Now I know how this car can make that much power."Sometime at the end of 2019, Isaak found peace through accepting Jesus as his Lord and Saviour. In the years following, he went through many many trials and tribulations, many times he doubted and went through times were he felt hopeless, but the Lord never gave up on him and toward the end of his life, he became grounded, saying he was confident that he was going to be with Jesus. The last week of his life, he often said that he felt his end was near and he would be with Jesus soon. His body was fighting for life, but his Spirit was yearning to be with Jesus. He left this world peacefully at 9:08 p.m. as the song was sung, "What A Day That Will Be".He will be profoundly missed by his loving family, including his parents, Isaack and Katharina Guenther of Sublette; a sister, Eva Giesbrecht and husband Joseph of Montezuma; two nephews, Elliot an Logan Giesbrecht; a niece, Mabelie Giesbrecht; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who will carry his memory in their hearts forever. He is preceded in death by two sisters, Nela and Judith; and an infant brother.

In celebration of Isaak's life and the joy he brought to all who knew him, a visitation will be held on September 27, 2026, at Grace Mennonite Fellowship Church, 2304 Road 40, Copeland, from 1:30 PM to 9:30 PM. The funeral service will be on September 28, 2026, at 2:00 PM the Mennonite Evangelical Church in Copeland. Burial will follow at Haskell County Cemetery, Sublette.
