Ivalee O'Grady, 95, died Saturday, January 29, 2011, at The Shepherd's Center in Cimarron. She was born on May 21, 1915 at Kansas City, Missouri while her father was attending barber school, the daughter of Hervie Monroe and Indianna (Johnston) Hill.
Mrs. O'Grady grew up in the Achilles/Oberlin area. She married Lary O'Grady in Atwood. He preceded her in death. Mrs. O'Grady worked at Montgomery Ward as a clerk for many years. She was active as a 4-H Leader when her children were involved in 4-H.
Mrs. O'Grady is survived by four children, Sharon O'Grady Townsell and husband John of Everett, WA, Lary "Bud" O'Grady and wife Deloris of Cimarron, Karon Hansarik and husband Joe of McPherson, and Michael O'Grady and wife Lois of San Francisco,CA; two sisters, Twila Bleam of Wichita and Roberta Bartleson of Augusta; 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter. In addition to her husband, Lary, she was preceded in death by her parents.
A private family inurnment will be held at a later date. There will be no public visitation as cremation has taken place.
