Dodge City - Jaden Matthew Smith, age 23, went home to be with his Heavenly Father, on May 28, 2024. Jaden was born April 21, 2001, in Dodge City, Kansas. He is the son of Leland and Janet (Shriver) Smith.
Jaden is survived by his beautiful wife, Summer (Spigle) Smith. Jaden and Summer spent 17 months together as husband and wife. Jaden's greatest joy was spending time with Summer; she will forever be his best friend and the love of his life.
Jaden is known for his love for Jesus and his passion for sharing Jesus with others. He attended Cross Connection Church of Dodge City. He loved going to Church and spending time with his church family.
Jaden loved to ride dirt bikes and race go-carts. Jaden is known to bump and run with his cousin and brothers to win a race. Jaden worked at Southwest Towing in Dodge City. He enjoyed his job because he got to work with his family. Jaden graduated from Cimarron High School and Dodge City Community College.
Jaden loved spending time with his family. He is survived by parents, Leland and Janet Smith, his five brothers and four sisters, Jarred (Madison) Smith, Jacob (Amanda) Smith, Joshua (Kyndell) Smith, Rachel (Tyler) Konrade, Katie (Gabriel) Kanelopoulos, Courtney (Jeremy) Amerin, Candace (Robert) Adams, Jonathan Smith, and Jordan Smith; nieces and nephews, Victoria, Wyatt, Charlotte, Henry, Winifred, Wallace, Adessah, Remington, Kipton, Evan, Trustin, Gavin, Elise, Grayson, and Ambrose; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Daryl and Glendy Spigle; and brothers-in-law, Kasey Spigle and Kole Spigle. Jaden loved being part of a large family and being loved by all his aunts, uncles, and cousins. Jaden was preceded in death by his grandparents; Ervie and Pearl Smith, and Ralph and Nathalee Shriver.
Funeral service will be held at Cross Connection Church in Dodge City on Friday, June 7, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. with Jaden's five brothers presiding. A private family burial will follow at Cimarron Cemetery. There is no visitation and the casket will remain closed. Memorials are suggested to Jaden Smith Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
