Obituary
Fowler - Jane Ann Bartlett, 88, died May 31, 2016 at her home in Fowler. She was born on February 17, 1928 in Kansas City, the daughter of James and Jenny Myrtle Edwards.
On August 7, 1946, she married D.A. (Bud) Bartlett in Dodge City. He survives, Janie was a homemaker and loving mother. She was a distributor for Avon and also worked as a library assistant in Fowler.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Fowler where she often served as the church nursery attendant.
Janie is survived by her husband D.A. (Bud) Bartlett of Fowler; four children, Dawn Walters and husband Michael of Richardson, Texas, Mike Bartlett and wife Carla of Fowler, Susan Wiseman and husband Niles of Dodge City, and Sara Friesen and husband Brad of Wichita; 10 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral service will be held at Fowler United Methodist Church on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. Dick Robbins presiding. Burial will follow at Fowler Cemetery. The casket will remain closed. Janie was an avid animal lover and adopted and cared for a multitude of pets throughout her years. Memorials are suggested to Ford County Humane Society in care of the funeral home.
