Jane Roberts Dunsford,92,died Tuesday, February 24,2009 at Western Plains Medical Complex in Dodge City. She was born on January 14, 1917 in Flemington, Missouri, the daughter of Howard Darius and Lillian Margaret (Haussermann) Roberts.

Mrs. Dunsford attended Lindenwood College in St. Charles, Missouri and graduated from the University of Kansas. On November 18, 1950, Jane married John C. Dunsford, Jr. in Dodge City. After their marriage, they made their home in Dodge City.

She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Presbyterian Women, P.E.O. Chapter CF, Easy Readers Book Club, and the AAUW all of Dodge City. Jane was active in many other community organizations in Dodge City throughout her life.

Mrs. Dunsford is survived by her son, Bart Roberts Dunsford and wife Yadira of Highlands Ranch, Colorado and her daughter, Gay and husband Bernard Rooney, III of Minneola. She is also survived by four grandsons and five great grandchildren She was preceded in death by her husband, John, on April 24, 1996.

Funeral service will be held at First Presbyterian Church, Dodge City, on Saturday, February 28, 2009 at 10:30 AM with Rev. Bill McConnelee presiding. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dodge City. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Home, Dodge City, on Friday, February 27, 2009 from noon to 8:00 PM.
