Pat Dvorak, 84, passed away on May 24, 2011 at Presbyterian Manor of the Plains in Dodge City. She was born on December 14, 1926 in Barton County, the daughter of Nick and Frances (Schneweis) Kirmer.
Pat lived in the Spearville area most of her life. She was a lifetime homemaker. On October 8, 1945, she married Derrol Dvorak at St. John's Catholic Church in Spearville. He survives.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Offerle and the Altar Society.
In addition to her husband Derrol, she is survived by her children, Karlene Davis of Republic, Missouri; Kathlene Loyd and husband Tom of Olathe; Lydia Watts and husband Ron of San Antonio, Texas; Richard Dvorak and wife Bonnie of Spearville, Roch Dvorak and wife Debbie of Dodge City; JaNelda Fields and husband Steve of San Antonio, Texas; and Nikki Meyer and husband Rich of Wichita; 20 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; one brother, Robert "Bob" Kirmer and wife Jacquelin of Fort Dodge; one sister Judi Johnson and husband Don of Yamhill, Oregon; one sister-in-law, Margaret Kirmer of Dodge City; one brother-in-law, Carl Dvorak and wife Gerry of Burlington, Colorado; and multiple nieces and nephews.Pat was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Harold "Bus" Kirmer, one sister, Dolores (Cox) Boyd, and an infant twin sister, JaNelda Kirmer.
Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Offerle on Saturday, May 28, 2011 at 10:30 AM with Rev. John Strasser presiding. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Hodgeman County. Vigil service will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church at 7:00 PM on Friday, May 27, 2011. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Home in Dodge City on Friday, May 27, 2011 from noon to 5:00 PM. Memorials are suggested to St. Mary's Cemetery Fund, Presbyterian Manor of the Plains, or Hospice of the Prairie in care of the funeral home.
