Spearville - Janice Kay Rumbaugh, 73, passed peacefully with her family by her side on May 11, 2025 at her home in Spearville. She was born on February 28, 1952 at Ava, Missouri the daughter of Fred and Nora (Garner) Webster.

Janice grew up all over the Midwest moving with her family as her father travelled for work in the oilfields. On March 27, 1970 she married David Rumbaugh in Dodge City. She was primarily a homemaker taking care of her family and also later as a pastor for churches in the area. Janice loved entertaining family and friends in her home. She wrote songs, poems, and painted in her free time. Janice enjoyed being outside in her yard and especially taking care of her flowers.

She attended Who So Ever Welcome Church and Stepping Stones of Faith Church where she also pastored.

Janice is survived by her husband of 55 years, David Rumbaugh of Spearville; four children, Anthony Rumbaugh and wife Tonia of Dodge City, Aaron Rumbaugh and wife Christina of Dodge City, Miracle Patee and husband Aaron of Spearville and Amber Stewart and husband Shawn of Charleston, West Virginia; ten grandchildren, Trina & J.P. Hancock, Tyler & Claire Rumbaugh, Asher Rumbaugh, Michael Rumbaugh, Kaylee, Elijah, Brian, Ethen, and Zoii Patee and Lily Stewart; great granddaughter, Naomi Hancock; five siblings, Doyce Webster, Darrell Webster, Deborah Perry, Rodney Webster and Fred Kuck; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral service will be held at Swaim Funeral Chapel on Monday, May 19, 2025 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Scott Tilley presiding.  Burial will follow at Greencrest Cemetery in Dodge City.  Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Chapel on Sunday, May 18, 2025 from Noon to 6:00 PM.  Memorials are suggested to the Janice Rumbaugh Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.  Thoughts and memories may be shared in the online guest book at www.swaimfuneralhome.com.
