Dodge City - Norma 'Jean' Martin, 86, died peacefully at home with her children by her side Sept. 11, 2017.  She was born April 03, 1931 in Hodgeman Co. to Lora (Rogers) and Isaac Duncan.

She attended Dodge City Schools graduating in 1949.  While working at Fidelity State Bank as a proof operator, she dated Thomas Martin, a teller, and they were married August 17, 1953.  They had three children, Pat, Kathy and Ann.

She devoted her life to raising her family and supporting many of Tom's endeavors.  She created a home for three kids, five grandkids and three great grandkids.  She was the Queen of Christmas, the host of a thousand summers and one of the best verbal sparring partners ever.  Her warmth, sass and living room chats will be greatly missed by all.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, siblings Zelma Duncan, Thelma Rehmert, Margaret Courtney, Maynard, Raymond and Glenn Duncan.

Jean is survived by children, Pat Martin, Kathy Martin and Ann Salmans (Gary).  Grandchildren, Rachael Beltran (Melvyn), Zachary Raugewitz (Mallory), Seth Salmans (Katie), Katy Salmans (Andy Ingalls).  Great grandchildren, Fiona Raugewitz, Jude Beltran and Scarlett Salmans.  Niece, Joyce Evert (Wendell) and many other relatives and friends. She also leaves behind her devoted chihuahua, Izzy.

Jean's family also wishes to thank her caregivers Sonia Barnes, Glenna Salmans, Heather Carroll and SueAnn Winkler for their gentle, loving care along with Hospice of the Prairie.

A memorial service will be held at a later date with a private family inurnment.  There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place.  Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Hospice of the Prairie in care of the funeral home.
