Jeanette Gerber, 78, died Monday, September 7, 2009 at Good Samaritan Center in Dodge City. She was born on January 22, 1931 in Garden City, the daughter of Edward Vincent and Elizabeth R. (Huelskamp) Gerber.

Jeanette moved to Dodge City in 1935 with her parents. She attended Sacred Heart School. Jeanette has been a resident of Good Samariatian Center for the past 42 years.

She was a member of Cathedral Of Our Lady Of Guadalupe, Dodge City.

Jeanette is survived by two brothers, Richard M. Gerber and wife Helen of Dodge City and Robert Gerber and wife Orletta of Salina; two sisters Joan Schwarz and husband Ed of Offerle and Doris Goff and husband Val of Prescott, Arizona. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Marvin Gerber; and two sisters, Mabel Thesing and Mary Schneweis.

Funeral Mass will be held at the Cathedral Of Our Lady Of Guadalupe, Dodge City, on Thursday, September 10, 2009 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Ted Skalsky presiding. Burial will follow at Greencrest Cemetery, Dodge City. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 9, 2009 from noon to 7:30 PM. Vigil service will be held at Swaim Funeral Home. Dodge City, on Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at 7:30 PM. Memorials can be made to Sacred Heart School Endowment Fund in care of the funeral home.
