IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jeanne
Jantz
June 16, 1931 – October 25, 2021
Montezuma - Clara Jean (Jeanne) Jantz was born June 16, 1931 to Porter and Laura Hightower in Lindsay, Oklahoma. She went home to Heaven on October 25, 2021, at the age of 90.
Jeanne loved the Lord and was a devoted faith and prayer warrior. She was a homemaker most of her life and enjoyed flower gardening, crafting, cooking, crocheting and reading her bible. But most of all, she enjoyed time with her family doting over each of them with their favorite foods and gifts.
Jeanne and her husband Ervy liked to travel and during their 51 years of marriage lived in Wichita, Kansas, Colorado Springs, Colorado, Muskogee, Oklahoma, and Aurora, Colorado. Later in their lives they were house sitters at Taos, New Mexico, Lake Kiowa, Texas, Shell Knob, Missouri, and Conway, Texas, before retiring to Bristow, Oklahoma. During retirement, she spent many hours tending to her beautiful flowers, treating family to special treats and watching the wildlife while driving her "Joy" buggy exploring nature. When resting in her home she would laugh at the antics of the dogs and chickens that would visit her at their door. She was able to view the birds eating from the feeders, especially Cardinals and the deer that would come to feed daily.
Jeanne is survived by her husband, Ervy Jantz; seven children, Fran Keller of Bristow, Oklahoma, Mike Kennedy and wife Susan of Harlingen, Texas, Larry Kennedy of Augusta, Kansas, Jim Kennedy and wife Patricia of Bristow, Oklahoma, Mark Kennedy and wife Debbie of Bristow, Oklahoma, Adina Schmidt and husband Charles of Montezuma, Kansas, and Patricia Koehn and husband Everett of Buhl, Idaho; one sister, Wanda Drake of Wichita, Kansas; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Kenneth Jantz; a daughter, Sandra Schmidt; and two brothers, James and Wilburn (Red) Hightower.
