Jeffrey Mark Stevens, 42, died Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at Minneola. He was born on November 26, 1967 at Dodge City, the son of Earle and Charlene (Bruce) Stevens.

Jeff served his country in the U.S. Army from 1986 to 1990. He married Michele Johnson on November 16, 1991 in Dodge City, she survives. He loved spending time with his children and family. Jeff also enjoyed traveling and fishing in his spare time.

He was a member of Minneola Christian Church.

In addition to his wife, Michele, Jeff is survived by his two children, Kyle Stevens and Alicia Stevens, both of the home; his mother, Charlne Stevens of Salina; his father, Earle Stevens, Sr. of Dodge City, one brother, Earle Stevens, Jr. of Madras, Oregon; his mother-in-law, Mary Johnson of Dodge City; and his father-in-law, Orville Brehm of Dodge City. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Marvin Johnson; one uncle, Chester Bruce; and one aunt, Frances Burkhart; and one cousin.

Funeral service will be held at Minneola United Methodist Church on Saturday, December 19, 2009 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Kip Ryherd and Rev. Virgil White presiding. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Windthorst with military rites by Howard Gotschall Post #1714 V.F.W. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Home in Dodge City on Friday, December 18, 2009 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
