Dodge City - Jesus Lopez, 48, died June 5, 2022 at St Catherine Hospital of Dodge City.  He was born on November 18, 1973 in La Magdalene de Araceo Municipio de Valle de Santiago, Guanajuato, Mexico, the son of Abel and Maria De Jesus (Duran) Lopez Perez.

Jesus moved to the United States when he was 17.  He lived in California beforing coming to Dodge City where he went to work at Cargill.  He married Juana Aguirre in 1996.  Jesus enjoyed listening to music and playing with his grandchildren.  Spending time with his family was very important.

He was a member of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe of Dodge City.

Jesus is survived by his wife Juana of Dodge City; one son, Jesus Lopez of Dodge City; four daughters, Crystal Lopez, Jessica Lopez, Daisy Lopez, and Ruby Lopez all of Dodge City; six grandchildren, Joshua, D'Angelo, and Scarlett Bustillos, Ayden and Mael Serna, and Elianna Aguilar all of Dodge City; two sisters, Rubicelia Lopez of Mexico and Guadalupe Lopez of Dodge City; and two brothers, Gonzalo Lopez of Dodge City, and Manuel Lopez of Mexico.  He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and one sister.

Visitation will be held at Swaim Funeral Chapel, Dodge City on Sunday, June 12, 2022 from 1:00-7:00 PM with the vigil following at 7:00 PM.  Funeral Mass will be held at Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Dodge City on Monday, June 13, 2022 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Wesley Schawe presiding.  Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dodge City.  Memorials are suggested to the family in care of the funeral home.  Thoughts and memories may be shared in the online guest book at www.swaimfuneralhome.com.
