Dodge City - Jill Neese, 76, died December 7, 2024 at Minneola District Hospital in Minneola, Kansas. She was born on May 19, 1948 at Phillipsburg, Kansas the daughter of William D. "Biddy" Smith and Naida (Townsend) Smith.

She married Wayne Neese on December 26, 1970 in Holton, Kansas he preceded her in death on May 6, 2018. Jill worked for Kansas SRS for many years before retiring in 2011. She loved to cook in her spare time. She really enjoyed watching television and being on social media, especially Tik Tok. Jill was a very generous person and helped anyone she could. She loved spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her daughter Jennifer Lix and husband Randy of Dodge City; one son Brad Neese and wife Sheila of Grand Junction, Colorado; one sister Sherry White and husband Dennis of Coeur d' Alene, Idaho; one brother William Smith and wife Alice of Georgetown, Texas. She is also survived by her five grandchildren Melinda Wesley and husband Chris, Parker Lix, William Neese, Andrew Neese, Cullen Neese, and five great grandchildren Emma, Lizzy, Cora, Eli and Braylea. She is also survived by her grand dogs Charley and Blue.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Wayne and one sister Cynthia Brashear.

Memorial service will be held at Swaim Funeral Chapel on Friday December 20, 2024 at 10:00 AM with Fr. Ted Stoecklein presiding.  Inurnment will be held at a later date at the Ulysses Cemetery in Ulysses, Kansas. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place.
