Dodge City - Joe W. Railsback, 80, died September 25, 2020 at St. Francis via Christi, Wichita.  He was born on February 21, 1940 at Arapahoe, Nebraska the son of Roy and Helen (Waddell) Railsback.

Joe grew up in Nebraska and graduated from York High School in York, Nebraska. He was a pilot and also worked for the Sheriff's Office in York, Nebraska. Joe also worked for Belcher Stock Company in Colorado. On February 15, 1986 he married Peggy Ann Rogers at McKinney, Texas. Joe enjoyed taking family vacations and road trips. He also loved to spend time with his family especially having family dinners together.

Joe is survived by his wife, Peggy Ann of the home; two daughters, Karen Warnke and James of Dodge City and Cathy Simington of Melissa, Texas; a son, Darrell Simington of Lehigh; two sisters, Naomi Peratt of Broomfield, Colorado and Pamala Ann and Charles Luke of Yuma, Arizona; nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Loren Railsback.

Funeral service will be held at First United Methodist Church on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at 2:00PM.  Visitation will be held at Swaim Funeral Chapel on Monday, September 30, 2020 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM.  In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to Central and Western Kansas Chapter of Alzheimer's Organization for the Dodge City Alzheimer's/Dementia support group.  Thoughts and memories may be shared in the online guest book at www.swaimfuneralhome.com.
