John Kenneth "Kenny" Myers, 66, died June 28, 2011 at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita . He was born on May 28, 1945 at Dodge City, the son of Roland and Anna Mary (Novack) Myers.

He attended Sacred Heart School and was a graduate of Dodge City High School. He was a sanitation foreman for the City of Dodge City and had been employed there for over thirty years, retiring in 2007. He enjoyed hunting, softball , bowling, and loved raising and racing pigeons.

He is survived by three stepsons, William Cody Huckins of Fitzgerald, Georgia, Robert and Tony Bennett; three brothers, Donald Myers and wife Linda of Liberal, Les Myers of Dodge City, and Mike Myers of Branson, Missouri; two sisters, Mary Grable of Branson, Missouri and Shirley Keith of Dodge City; three step grandchildren, four great step grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, ex-wife Susan Thompson, two brothers in law, Donald Keith and Terry Lauber, and three uncles, John, Henry, and Edward Novack.

Vigil service will be held at 7:00 P.M. Friday, July 1, at Swaim Funeral Home in Dodge City. Graveside services will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Windthorst on Saturday, July 2, 2011 at 9:30 A.M. with Rev. Ted Skalsky presiding. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Home on Friday, July 1, from Noon to 7:00 PM.
